Hi Missy,

Thank you so much! This is the entire reason I share my choreography with -- well, anyone who will watch! :-) I'm so glad you've been able to use some of this stuff.

I can't reply on your blog page, but please tell me where you are in Texas??? I'm going to be at DCAC in Houston in April, along with Leslie Stewart. I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new people!

Hi Step Junkie,

I love your choreography, but what I really like to watch are your breakdowns because i was never taught the best way to do this. I have only been teaching for 6 months (stepping for 18 years!!!), so the breakdown videos have been a tremendous help!!

My problem: The videos on your blog have the advertisements at the bottom. I can just barely see your feet through the ad, and the wording and count are completely covered. Those are the 2 things that I pay close attention to in the breakdown videos.

I have no idea what you go through to make the videos, but if there was a way to modify them so that the ads don't interfere it would be perfect!!!! Whatever you go through to create your videos is worth it because they are clear and colorful with great sound quality. The background picture makes it so easy to identify whether or not I've watched a combo. A pleasure to watch. Thanks for caring!

Hi Kristin,

Thanks for the nice words. I think that learning to do breakdowns so that you class can be working hard while they are learning the choreography is one of the most critical aspects of being a great Step instructor -- and one of the hardest things to learn. I do hope that my breakdown videos will give you some ideas for your own choreography.

I've been putting my breakdown videos on the Revver website rather than YouTube only because they do attach the ads. The advertisers will pay me when people click on the ads. -- Granted-- they only pay a few pennies!!

If you want the ads to go away (without clicking on them, which redirects you to their website), just click the little X in the upper right corner of the ad. The ad should disappear so you can see the words and my feet.

If for some reason this doesn't work for you, please write back and let me know, and I'll try to work with the Revver people to find out why.
